R&SD has completed the integration of Phase 2 of the Yangambi biomass cogeneration plant (DRC). With three new units, the facility now reaches 340 kW of electrical and 720 kW of thermal output, generated from local wood.

As part of the Yangambi Engagement Landscape (YEL) program, CIFOR has entrusted the rehabilitation of Yangambi's central market to the STAR2 consortium, comprising R&SD (leader) and Statera sàrl. The market is located in Beach, on the banks of the Congo and Bosambila rivers.

As part of the FORETS project, financed by the European Union and implemented by CIFOR, R&SD, in consortium with Statera, is leading a rehabilitation project in Kisangani.

The STAR2 consortium, comprising R&SD and STATERA, has completed the construction of a 248 m2 multifunctional building at the CIFOR base in Yanonge. Mainly intended for office space, this building is part of the FORETS II project, financed by the European Union and implemented by CIFOR.
